We got our first NPR puppy this last week. Already very happy with him and his attention. He is learning quickly and we can already see his hunting characteristics coming out.

Best Lab Puppies around! Picked up my 2nd Chocolate Lab pup from them a couple weeks ago. I couldn't be happier with both dogs! Great genes and such amazing dogs! Nothing but great things to say and would highly recommend to anyone looking!

Facilities looked nice and clean. They were very instructional on caring for our new pup, sending us home with a packet of information as well as a bag of recommended puppy food.

We just recently got a pup from Northern Plains Retrievers (NPR) and he’s already showing great hunting ability! He is Incredibly smart and has caught on so quickly! NPR definitely has a lot of dedication to their dogs and the work they do! I highly recommend them if you’re looking for a new hunting partner!

Great job! Everything you'll ever want from a trainer is poured into each dog/pup. Wade set the expectations for both owner/dog. He openly communicated the process and progress throughout the 3 months of training.  And we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. Our Labs are disciplined and great flushers/retrievers. They were an asset in the field during every pheasant hunt this season. I cannot give a higher recommendation for Northern Plains Retrievers.

We had our lab, Shea, out for a 4 month program this summer.  She just got through her first season and we were very happy with the obedience and hunting training she received.    She was very steady and the force fetching made everything better.   Wade explained what to expect with this program and delivered on what he promised.

NPR has great dogs that do as well in the field as in the home.  Very impressed with their training programs as well.  I've had dogs in puppy, started, and finished programs which provide a solid foundation for whatever level of dog you desire.  Strong hunting drive/instincts and nice off switch when not hunting.

I've had Wade train two dogs.  Mia in 2016 and Daisy in 2024.  I've been extremely satisfied with the results.  Wade does a great job with instruction and the facilities are first-class.  When the time comes, I'll be back with my 3rd dog.
